BLS Certification Class

 
AHA BLS Certification Card
 
Includes: AHA HeartCode BLS online portion, online student manual, Zoom skills check, and your AHA BLS card.
 
Who should take this course?
This BLS course is a full course designed for those who work in the healthcare field, such as nurses, traveling nurses, nursing students, dentists, pre-med students, pharmacists, and EMTs. 
 
What the class covers: The class topics include CPR/AED for Adults, children, and infants and obstructed airways.

Steps for the class:

1. Choose a date and time for your live zoom hands-on skills portion.
This will be the day and time for your skills session.
 
2. We email you a link to complete the online HeartCode portion of this class.
The registration confirmation email will include a link to your online course.
 
3. We ship class supplies and a prepaid return label to you before the zoom meeting, if needed.
We ship your equipment close to the day of your class. Shipping usually takes 2-3 days. You will receive your supplies about 1-2 days before the day of your hands-on zoom session.
 
4. We connect over zoom to complete the hands-on skills portion of the class on the day and time you selected.
The registration confirmation email will include information on how to connect to the Zoom class.
You can connect using your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
 
5. You will receive a full AHA BLS Provider certification valid for two years.
You will get an email from the AHA on how to claim your card after completing the zoom class.

AHA BLS Skills Check
 
This Hands-On Skills Session is designed for those who have already purchased or plan to purchase the HeartCode BLS online course. This is the skills check-off only to complete your certification. The AHA HeartCode course is required to have been completed.
 
If you have NOT purchased the HeartCode BLS online portion or do not plan to do so on your own, please register for the AHA BLS Provider class. That class includes the online HeartCode portion.
 
Who should take this course?
This class is designed for those who work in the healthcare field, such as nurses, traveling nurses, nursing students, dentists, pre-med students, pharmacists, and EMTs. Although, anyone may take this course. Topics covered will be geared toward those in a healthcare environment. Meets Healthcare Recruiter Requirements.

Who should take this course? 
The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format, and the online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop, or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session.
 
Includes: American Red Cross BLS online portion, Zoom skills check, and your Red Cross BLS card.

The AHA’s Heartsaver First AId Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
 
NOTE: This is solely a First Aid certification, which can be added to your current BLS or any other certifications if required.
 
This is a blended course with 2 parts:

Part 1: The Heartsaver First Aid online course
Part 2: The hands-on skills session, which will be conducted over Zoom

What the Student Receives: You will receive an AHA Heartsaver First Aid certification valid for two years

 

This class format is OSHA, Government, and Workplace Compliant with the same certification as an in-person classroom.

About this course: This is just the skills check-off ONLY! Please note, the 2020 Heartsaver First Aid online course is required for a complete AHA certification. If you HAVE purchased the online 2020 Heartsaver First Aid online course or plan to on your own, once completed, please forward me a copy of your completion certificate. I will need to see a copy of the certificate before I will issue your card.

This course is designed for those who have already purchased or plan to purchase the 2020 Heartsaver First Aid online course. This is the skills check-off only to complete your certification. If you have NOT purchased the Heartsaver First Aid online portion or do not plan to on your own, please select the full blended course AHA Heartsaver First Aid from the course list. What the Students Receive: You will receive an AHA Heartsaver First Aid certification valid for two years.

As an AHA BLS Instructor, you'll be able to teach the following classes:

  • Heartsaver for K-12 Schools
  • Heartsaver First Aid Only

You will also be able to:

  • Teach at your place of employment and/or outside work by holding your own classes.
  • Ability to issue certification cards to students.
  • Post your classes on the AHA class locator.
  • Teach anywhere in the US.

Steps for the class

  • You must have a current AHA BLS provider certification issued by the AHA, which has the AHA logo at the time of your class. No other programs are accepted (For example, the Red Cross or another certificate that mentions "meets AHA guidelines" or "equivalent to AHA"). If you do not have a current AHA BLS certification issued from the AHA, you can add the certification and complete it before the instructor's course. We will arrange to complete your certification prior to the day of your class.
  • Complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course. The registration confirmation email will include a link to your online course.
  • Attend the in-person instructor's course.
  • You are required to bring a person with you on the day of the class to participate in your initial monitoring. This will be conducted in the afternoon, and they will receive a free BLS provider certification. Click HERE for more information.   • Attend the instructor course.
  • You are required to bring a person with you on the day of the class to participate in your initial monitoring. This will be conducted in the afternoon, and they will receive a free Heartsver certification. Click HERE for more information. You must have a current AHA Heartsaver certification or AHA BLS certification at the time of your class. No other programs are accepted (Example: Red Cross).
If you do not have a current AHA Heartsaver certification, you can add the certification and complete it during the instructor course. When becoming an AHA instructor, other non-AHA certifications are not accepted.
