Location:

Your Location - Home or Business

Date and Time:

We set up a day and time for your one on one virtual hands-on class. We either bring the equipment to you if you are within 45 miles of Jefferson City, MO, or we will ship you a set of equipment for an additional fee. We connect over a live Zoom meeting to conduct the class. This counts as an in-person class and you will receive the exact same AHA certification, just as if we had an in-person class.

Price:

This is a non-refundable class. Price includes the HeartCode BLS online portion, which has the updated 2020 science, the updated 2020 student provider manual, the one on one virtual hands-on skills check, and your BLS card. Once registered, I will work with your schedule to get your certification.

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session. This product has been updated with new science from the 2020 Guidelines for CPR and ECC and replaces the previous version.

Who should take this course?

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and pre-hospital settings. Anyone may take the course, however, the course is designed for those that work in medical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, dentist offices, and those who are pharmacists and EMTs.

What does this course teach?

High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
Important early use of an AED
Effective ventilations using a barrier device
Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Just to reiterate, this course is a blended course, where you take an online portion prior to our scheduled virtual hands-on class. The online course includes the required written test. The live virtual hands-on class is held around your schedule and can be taken during the day, evening, or weekend. Together combined completes your certification. Once registered, no refunds will be given for any reason.

The 2019 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals.
