We offer Adult and/or Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED, and BLS group training through the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association in and around Central Missouri. We can train at our Jefferson City, MO, classroom, or schedule on-site training at your location.

Group class pricing depends on the course selected, group size, and travel needs. We can also customize classes to fit your schedule and training requirements.

Who should take this course?

This course is intended for those who want to teach BLS and Heartsaver courses to certify others, such as staff or the community.

As an AHA BLS Instructor, you'll be able to teach the following classes:

  • BLS Provider
  • Heartsaver CPR/AED
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED
  • Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
  • Heartsaver for K-12 Schools
  • Heartsaver First Aid Only
  • Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Friends and Family

You will also be able to:

  • Teach at your place of employment and/or outside work by holding your own classes.
  • Ability to issue certification cards to students.
  • Post your classes on the AHA class locator.
  • Teach anywhere in the US.

Steps for the class

  • You must have a current AHA BLS provider certification issued by the AHA, which has the AHA logo at the time of your class. No other programs are accepted (For example, the Red Cross or another certificate that mentions "meets AHA guidelines" or "equivalent to AHA"). If you do not have a current AHA BLS certification issued by the AHA, please let me know, and we can add it for a small additional charge. We will arrange to complete your certification prior to the day of your class.
  • Complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course. The registration confirmation email will include a link to your online course.
  • Attend the in-person instructor's course.
  • You are required to bring a person with you on the day of the class to participate in your initial monitoring. This will be conducted in the afternoon, and they will receive a free BLS provider certification. Click HERE for more information. This Hands-On Skills Session is designed for those who have already purchased or plan to purchase the HeartCode BLS online course. This is the skills check-off only to complete your certification. The AHA HeartCode course is required to have been completed. If you have NOT purchased the required HeartCode BLS online portion or do not plan to do so on your own, please register for the AHA BLS Provider class. That class includes the online HeartCode portion.

Steps for the class:

This will be the day and time for your skills session.
 
2. You will attend the hands-on skills session.
 
3. You will receive a full AHA BLS Provider certification valid for two years.
You will get an email from the AHA on how to claim your card after completing the class.

Who should take this course?
This BLS course is a full course designed for those who work in the healthcare field, such as nurses, traveling nurses, nursing students, dentists, pre-med students, pharmacists, and EMTs. The Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop, or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session.
 
What the class covers: The class topics include CPR/AED for Adults, children, and infants, and obstructed airways. 
 
Includes: AHA HeartCode BLS online portion, online student manual, hands-on skills session, and your AHA BLS Provider card, valid for two years.

This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop, or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session.
 
Price Includes: Red Cross BLS online portion, hands-on, and your Red Cross BLS card.
 
There are 2 parts to this course

Part 1: The BLS online course. Allow approximately 2-3 hours to complete the online portion.
Part 2: The in-person hands-on skills session, which will be completed on the day of your class.

 
Same-Day Certification:
Students who successfully complete this course will receive an American Red Cross Certificate for Basic Life Support (BLS), valid for 2 years. Meets OSHA, Government, and Workplace Requirements.
This class format is OSHA, Government, and Workplace Compliant with the same certification as an in-person classroom.

Location: Your Location - Home or Business via ZOOM Meeting

Price Includes: Red Cross First Aid online portion, Zoom skills check, and your Red Cross 2 year certification.
 
Who should take this course? The Red Cross First Aid Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
 
This is a blended course with 2 parts
 
Part 1: The First Aid online course.
Part 2: The hands-on skills session, which will be conducted over Zoom

What the Students Receive: You will receive a Red Cross First Aid certification valid for two years.
 
This is a non-refundable class. Once registered, no refunds will be given for any reason.
 
 The hands-on skills portion only takes 10-15 minutes and is conducted one-on-one. I can schedule you pretty quickly. Once you register, I will get ahold of you to schedule your zoom session.
